The Gambia Tourism Board and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture participated in the 2nd UNWTO Regional Conference on Brand Africa, held in Livingstone, Zambia from July 22 to 24, 2024. This significant event, themed “Promoting Africa to unlock tourism investments and the sector\u2019s growth potential,” brought together key stakeholders from across the continent to discuss strategies for enhancing Africa’s global tourism image and investment opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Representatives from the Gambia engaged in high-level discussions and sessions, including the Brand Africa and Tourism Think Tank, focusing on effective communication, marketing, and branding strategies to rebuild market confidence and reignite Africa\u2019s tourism sector in the post-pandemic phase. The Gambia’s delegation contributed to and benefited from insights on global tourism investment trends, specifically within the African context, and participated in the official launch of the UNWTO Doing Business Guidebook for Zambia.<\/span><\/p>\n
